About

The Poets Ale & Smoke House is a modern British community pub in Hove, East Sussex. We are proud to serve our tasty smoke house menu alongside a great selection of draught beers, ales, wines & more, 7 days a week. We also have a selection of daily specials, our kids’ menu, and traditional roasts on Sundays.

For the meat lovers out there, our smokehouse menu has loads to offer, 16hr slow smoked BBQ pulled pork and brisket to fruit wood smoked ribs to name a few. We have sharing platters available to give you the chance to try everything. There’s also regular special smoke out events featuring exotic meats and themes.

The Poets is a sports pub and shows every big fixture, it’s the perfect place to watch the game over a burger or a bowl of wings, upstairs in our function room we even have a pool table and a dart board. This space is also available for hire for all your special occasions.

We are a dog friendly pub with a spacious main bar and a cosy snug area, complete with a fireplace. We also have a wonderful secret garden out the back with ample seating for those hot summer evenings.
