About
The George Payne is an award-winning community pub in Hove, East Sussex. Since 2012, we have been serving up a wonderful selection of tasty food & drinks to our local community. We have a fantastic menu focusing on British classics, within the cosy atmosphere of our bright and spacious pub.
As a freehouse we’ve got an enormous selection of ever-changing ales, beers, ciders and spirits. A cocktail menu and even a Bloody Mary station to fix yours up exactly as you like.
Alongside our popular British menu, we also have our selection of daily specials, kids’ menu and of course, traditional roasts on Sundays.
We are a family & dog friendly pub, with plenty of room indoors and out – including our front terrace and newly revamped beer garden. We’ve even got our lovely, heated cabins for a cosy retreat in the evenings and colder times of the year.
We like to make a big deal with our events, we have a yearly street party with a huge lineup of bands and DJ’s. Halloween is much the same with the entire pub kitted out to ensure maximum spookiness, we also have children’s entertainers, live music and much more.
If you’re looking for a friendly local pub in Hove with a homely, comfortable vibe, you've come to the right place.
Come pop in for a pint and say hello.
