Scrooge!

About

In this timeless musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet-to-come.The story opens on Christmas Eve, 1860, in Cheapside, London, where the chill air is alive with the sound of carols coming from the churches. Ebenezer Scrooge, however, thinks nothing of Christmas. He is the surviving partner of Scrooge and Marley, private merchant bankers and moneylenders. His clerk, Bob Cratchit, overworked and underpaid, has a hard time asking for time off at Christmas and struggles in caring for his sick son. Ebenezer does not like this time of year and turns down invitations to a family gathering from his nephew, Harry, and continues to treat local folk with disdain. Will he see the error of his ways and turn his life around in time?
