About
Following their previous sell out Brighton gig Keiron Phelan & Peace Signs and The Last of the Lovely Days reunite to make their Brunswick debut, joined by the talented Robert Rotifer. This gig also marks the launch of the 4th Keiron Phelan & Peace Signs album (The Whole Band Just Turned Mellow) released on Gare du Nord records, 9th Dec 24.
Keiron Phelan & Peace Signs: present an elegant fusion of 70s tinged baroque art-pop. From Bacharach to Bolan and back again, with a touch of Abbey Road fabs, a sigh of Scott Walker, and superbly inventive musicianship. Imagine a more upfront Neil Hannon fronting Cockney Rebel Mk.1 and you're on the right peace march.
The Last of the Lovely Days: Freshly out of the blocks, this four piece Brighton band create a unique slant on catchy indie-pop music. Fronted by singer/songwriter, Annie, the band perform a mix of the eclectic and melodic, inspired by all of their favourite things - jangly indie pop, 60s girl groups, 80s new wave (and whatever else they fancy)
Robert Rotifer: A fingerpicking Canterbury songsmith of Viennese extraction who has been compared to the unlikes of Robyn Hitchcock and Jake Thackray, made records with Louis Philippe and John Howard, and played with Robert Forster and Wreckless Eric. His latest album Holding Hands in Petrópolis is all about sticking together in grim times.
