Joni Mitchell's Blue: An Evening in Laurel Canyon

About

Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960's and 70's forming a hive of creativity in the age of hippies and flower power.

Amongst Laurel Canyon's residents were the likes of Neil Young, James Taylor, Carole King, Eagles, The Doors and Joni Mitchell...

In the first half of this concert you will hear music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time.

In the second half, the band will perform in its entirety Joni Mitchell's 1971 album Blue. A songwriting masterclass, Blue includes some of Joni's finest work including Little Green, River, A Case of You and California.

Jukebox 1264 is a pop ensemble formed by the Lewes Music Group CIC in 2021. Their themed concerts pay tribute to eras, albums and artists throughout the last 70 years in popular music. So far the band has paid tribute to the music of Carole King, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA and Disco Music.
