About

A Mesmerising One-Creature Spectacle. Forget goddesses. Naomi doesn't aspire to be divine—she wants to be a grubby, chaotic, unapologetic Gobbess. Gobbess is a genre-defying fusion of aerial hoop, spoken word, and storytelling, blending circus arts with poetry and raw theatrical power. This spellbinding solo performance is a tale of creativity, queerness, self-expression, and resilience—a story of rage and transformation in the face of cat-calling, chaos, and existential curiosity. A Story of Imperfection, Playfulness & Defiance Born from personal experience following a cancer operation, Gobbess is an honest, moving, and wildly funny journey of learning to embrace imperfection, rediscovering whimsy and playfulness, and rejecting society's expectations. It's a celebration of being a creative in a capitalist hellscape, a show that champions self-expression in a world obsessed with playing by the patriarchy's rules. Critics Are Raving "Laugh-out-loud humour" "Pure magic" "Delightful unmissable" "Raw, incisive, hilarious, wholesome, powerful" This is bold, fearless, and entirely unique theatre—a space to vent, to laugh, and to embrace every glorious, messy part of ourselves.
