An-Ting is the one-to-watch in the world of composing. Notion
Classy Taiwanese electronica. The Slow Music Movement
An-Ting is releasing her new album, Lost Communications \*\*\*\*, paying homage to the beauty of nature and human artistic expression. An-Ting took field recordings of birdsong and mixed them with dark experimental electronic music with droning soundscapes and hard beats. In their live audio-visual performance, Ian Gallagher uses cutting-edge AI technology to document the duo's ideas and mind-bending experiences with live audio-reactive visuals, reacting in real-time to An-Ting's music.
An-Ting has led and co-created productions including HOME X (nominated for UK Theatre Awards, first presented in Barbican), CAN X Two Temple Place: Digital Exhibition and Immersive Performance (Arts Council England's Digital Culture Award Storytelling), Augmented Chinatown 2.0 (an app for AR, music and drama), Lao Can Impression (Southbank Centre's Purcell Room) and Bats and Beats (Soundstate Festival, Shanghai
tour).
Ian Gallagher studied Theoretical Physics at Edinburgh before completing a PhD in Complex Systems at Manchester University. His creative technology works have won Arts Council England's Digital Culture Award (Storytelling) and have been nominated for the UK Theatre Awards (Digital Innovation). More recently his work has been presented at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre, Hong Kong's flagship Arts-Tech venue and he has become a core contributor to the generative AI open source arts community.
Cederick Knox will be performing their new AV project Pelican Knox featuring contributions from Pelican Man.
