Black Brighton Market

About

Black Brighton Market is a place where Black People and People of Colour have the opportunity to sell their art, goods, services and perform to the general public. Creating equal opportunities and better profits within the BIPOC community.

With our permanent residency at The Actor's Pub we are lucked out with food from The Caribbean kitchen all day. With traders across the entire top floor in two rooms, the theatre is centre stage for our headline performances, open mic and where we call out our raffle prizes.

We have pop-up events throughout the city including a weekend in August where we take up Madeira Drive right in front of the Brighton Palace Pier. And we always host the market for the yearly BARCO Bash.

BBM has been the stage for some incredible, up and coming musicians living in Brighton, including Kymara, Steven Bamidele, MRISI, AVIJE and more.

With an open mic feature, discover new performers with an array of performances, from poetry to comedy and everything in between.

With so many special features, including a raffle draw with prizes created by the traders themselves, this market has everything you need for a day full of family-friendly fun!
