It would not be a ten year celebration of Patterns without a show from Joy Orbison. Having played some landmark nights with us over the years including New Year’s Eve in both 2019 and 2023, we have witnessed first hand the rise of one of the United Kingdom’s most influential DJs across the past decade. It feels fitting to mark this milestone by welcoming him back.

Joy Orbison, the creative identity of London producer Peter O’Grady, is currently in one of the most vital stages of his career. Tracks such as flight fm in 2024 became defining club moments, bridging underground textures with universal appeal and underlining his rare ability to shape music that works equally on the dance floor and in the cultural imagination. The track was named Best Track at DJ Mag’s 2024 Awards, where Joy O also collected the title of Best DJ.

This constant evolution is even more remarkable when set against the long arc of his career. His 2009 debut Hyph Mngo was instantly recognised as a game changing release, yet rather than leaning on that legacy, O’Grady has remained restlessly forward looking.

Whether producing in the studio, commanding the booth, or curating his celebrated Just For You nights at Fabric, Joy Orbison remains a quiet but consistent innovator, shaping the next chapters of electronic music through his singular vision.
