About
'Voted both by the Independent and the BBC as one of the top 50 restaurants in the UK and described by the The Times as having a ""fanatical following"", Moshimo has become one of the leading restaurants on the South Coast. Known for its fresh, handmade sushi and authentic approach to hot Japanese dishes,MOSHIMO is Brighton’s best-loved Japanese restaurant, located in Bartholomew Square in the heart of the Lanes. Its architecturally stunning building is inspired by Japanese shoji screens: modern diner with sliding screens that can open to the outside and a deck with Japanese-style seats, making it an exciting venue for receptions and larger parties, particularly as we are directly opposite Brighton Town Hall and the registrars office.
MOSHIMO is a great place to eat, but it’s also the home of Fishlove, of the most successful global campaigns to end overfishing ever seen. The images featuring celebrities embracing fish in their naked arms have graced the covers of the world’s media and are credited for having made a significant contribution to the protection of fish species around the globe. In recognition of its work, it has been awarded the RSPCA's Business Innovation Award for animal welfare, as well as the prestigious Green Apple Award for the Environment.
