English Tourism Week returns in March, although tourism is such a important industry that the week is actually 10 days as it runs from the 14th to the 23rd.

VisitEngland leads the campaign which is a celebration of our diverse, exciting and vibrant sector. The slogan for this year is: "Supporting people and places to drive growth" and that really does sum up why those of us lucky enough to work in tourism do what we do.

Each year 11.8 million of you lovely people visit our compact city, generating £1.3 billion for the economy and supporting 23,742 jobs. So, while tourism is a fun industry, English Tourism Week is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the importance of the visitor economy.
