Brighton Oktoberfest at Shelter Hall: 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19 October

Shelter Hall are bringing Munich to Brighton for Oktoberfest… by the sea. Fear not, they are not going to have you sitting outside in the rain but transforming the main hall into Brighton’s very own beer tent. Housing multiple local breweries to sit alongside their resident kitchens will all be cooking up Munich-inspired dishes.


Nature Heroes and Nat Go activities is launching at Wakehurst: 19 October – 3 November

Wakehurst has joined forces with National Geographic Kids magazine for a three-year collaboration. This October, children can play the role of a seed scientist on their Nature Heroes: Seed Seeker adventure, as they follow the seed banking process from start to finish. This forms the ninth mission in the Nature Heroes programme, a much-loved activity in many families’ holiday calendars.

Halloween Baking and Cooking sessions at Brighton & Hove Food Partnership: 29 & 30 October

In this special seasonal class, your child can free their creative demons and go wild creating scary but sweet treats. If you prefer a more savoury session enjoy a hands-on workshop with experienced cookery teacher, Cat Rochefort who will see your child learning classic cookery skills. New Moon Party Halloween Special at Beach Box Sauna: 31 October

Browse a curated collection of designers and makers, each offering a selection of artisan goods made locally and sustainably. Set in the Hay Barn at Charleston in Firle with over 30 local and independent artists, ceramicists, designers and makers, who will also be on hand to discuss their work, influences and ideas.
