About
Join us for the first of our three part Women in Leadership event series! Hosted by the University of Brighton's School of Business and Law this free networking breakfast at Projects The Lanes presents a talk from Daisy Cresswell of Make Good Trouble discussing 'Sticky Floors to Soaring Heights: Empowering Women in Business'. This talk will cover how to overcome the 'sticky floor' as a woman in business and bring together a community of businesswomen across Brighton and Sussex. This event is a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow women in business, with a networking session being held by Kerry Watkins.
Social Entrepreneur Daisy Cresswell has over 30 years experience in Digital Media Production (TV, Radio, and blue chip brands). After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design from Central St Martins, she cut her teeth in the design department of The Body Shop creating posters and exhibitions for firebrand entrepreneur Anita Roddick and later, setting up the multimedia department at brand experience agency Imagination - where only two female heads of department existed (approx 80% were male). For the last 15 years, Daisy has run two successful businesses with her sister Tayler, both of which still operate today.
Make (Good) Trouble is a collector of stories, a social change maker and a skills-based employer of young people. Every project undertaken is co-created with young people. Digital media production is the lens through which young co-creators express their opinions and direct their truths
This event is sponsored by Little Jasmine Therapies and Spa. For the chance to win two spa vouchers, head over to the School of Business and Law's LinkedIn.
This event is a women's only event, open to all self-identifying women.
This venue is a short walk from Brighton train station and is accessible by bus routes going into the centre of Brighton.
Coffee/tea and pastries will be provided on the day. This event is free of charge.
