After a sold-out run at Camden People's Theatre, The City of Ladies is coming to Brighton!
The City of Ladies is an off-beat comedy exploring the radical ladies of the past through puppetry, drag, and special hats. Join ladies Rectitude and Reason, two of the three muses (Justice is on a wicked comedown) as they help 15th Century writer Christine de Pizan to imagine a city constructed and populated exclusively by women.
This is NOT a flip project for the patch of land out back, but a necessary act of social justice and restoration for the sanctity and peace of women everywhere. But what does it actually mean to be a lady? Who gets to decide? And does it require a special sort of hat?
