In each week leading up to Christmas, Sofar Sounds are bringing three amazing musicians to cosy, unusual and secret venues in Brighton. These venues will only be revealed to the ticket holders 36 hours before each show and the acts will be kept secret until they get onto stage.

Sofar Sounds is a global music community that transforms everyday spaces - from living rooms and rooftops, to churches and museums - and turns them into captivating, intimate venues for secret, live music performances. Sofar was founded in 2009 by Rafe Offer and some of his friends after growing tired of watching live music out and about where they could hardly hear the music and were surrounded by people spending more time chatting or on their phones than listening to the artists on stage. So, Rafe Offer invited some friends over to a London flat for a low-key, intimate gig. Eight people gathered in the living room, shared a drink, sat on the floor and listened to some music. Now, Sofar Sounds puts on intimate gigs in non-traditional venues in over 400 cities around the world.

One of these cities is Brighton, where a small team headed by a local promoter, Jed Wright, curates these shows in some of the city's most interesting places. For this year's Christmas series, they’ll come to a Museum, an old Church and an Art Gallery.
