Once Upon a Time in PANTOLAND

About

Come and help celebrate Plumpton Pantomime Society's 50th Anniversary

1975 was a momentous year in Plumpton history. It was the year that a small group of people (who really should have known better) got together under the wing of the PTFA of the local school to put on a pantomime. Their rendition of ‘Puss in Boots’ passed into folklore and a legend was born. Jack and the Beanstalk was followed by Cinderella which was followed by Aladdin and so on in an uninterrupted flow down to this day - even during the lockdown years the society produced an online production!

We endeavour to take our audience far away from the four walls of the Village Hall and on a journey through the unique world of pantomime and provide an evening of romance, laughter and song - we’ve been doing it for fifty years and with any luck will still be doing it in another fifty!

In Pantoland, Tiffany Tickle runs the local joke shop with her two children Tommy and Tilly, but when the Spirit of Pantoland is kidnapped by the nasty witch Mouldywart, not even the Tickles can get the citizens of Pantoland laughing.

Can PC Pete and his trusty police dog Buster help the Tickles save the day? Will a visit to see the Fairy Grandmother give them the answers they seek? Will the characters of Pantoland ever get their happy ever laughter?

This pantomime mash-up has all your favourite pantomime traditions and much loved characters all wrapped up in a completely original fairytale. The perfect way to celebrate a significant milestone!
