About

About this course:

This course is delivered by the Occupational Safety and Health Services and is intended as an introduction to moving and handling objects or loads by bodily force.

The importance of lifting for life training:

It is essential training for all employees who may be faced with heavy lifting. Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work, accounting for over a third of all workplace injuries. It is important to support specific local training requirements and to consider manual handling in day to day life outside of work also.

Who is this for?

This is essential training for all employees who may be faced with moving and handling objects or loads by bodily force. It is not suitable for those who are required to move people.
