Homegrown Festival

About

Homegrown is a mutli-venue festival put on by MVAB to hilight the best of Brighton’s music scene. After a sold out debut year in 2024 with 50 artists across 6 venues including performances from the likes of The Wytches, CLT DRP and Gaffa Tape Sandy the festival returns in 2025 with over 60 Brighton artists across 8 of the cities finest venues.

This year the Hope and Ruin, Green Door Store, Prince Albert, Folklore Rooms, Pipeline, Rossi Bar, Daltons, and Revenge will be hosting music.

MVAB is a collective of the cities independent grass roots music venues working together to support the cities network of live music and protect these cultural hubs. For decades these venues have been hosting a wealth of up and coming artists alongside more established touring acts, nurturing talent and giving a platform to performers for the early stages of their careers. These venues act as the launching pads for many artists careers that go on to major festivals and release chart topping records.

As one of the countries key melting pots for new music, we the venues felt it was about time we celebrated this and drew focus on to the artists and the venues they’ve grown in. Brighton’s music scene is a unique organism, forever evolving and developing new artists with exciting new acts popping up every week it’s hard to keep an eye on what the next big act is going to be.
