Halloween at the citie's most haunted venue!

About

One of the biggest and most popular Halloween parties is set to return to The King & Queen on Halloween night. Every year hundreds of costumed revellers enjoy tricks, treats, roaming acts and pop-up entertainment frights courtesy of Brighton’s very own Electric Cabaret Company, alongside party favourites from DJ Mark Wintal and hosted by cabaret legend Dave Bear.

The venue’s cavernous gothic interior really sets the scene and this year venue boss Mark Such has his team busy in the basement creating some very unique Halloween décor. The King and Queen is grade II listed and dates from 1779. The building started life as a farmhouse before becoming a pub with major remodelling in the 1930s. It is noted on the Paranormal Database that the staff are often spooked by windows that seem to open themselves and keep banging even after being secured. Not only that, but voices have also been heard shouting from the empty bar after closing!

Hopefully the resident spirits will enjoy the party too, in a venue that acts as the perfect backdrop for performances including: a freaky trick roller-skating witch gliding on her broomstick, evil clown LED glow multiple trick hula hooping act, blood thirsty vampire queen stilt walker, dark sorceress Burlesque, acrobatic pole dancing fallen angel, sword balancing Egyptian Mummy, laser lights unworldly alien hand balance act, a sultry pirate king and many more. The ungodly scare team’s trick or treat games are not for the faint of heart - but the costume competition at the ‘Witching Hour’ to win a £100 cash, bottles of spirits and branded T Shirts is always a winner!

Entry includes a complimentary Spiced Pear Red Bull with vodka.
