About
Conspiracy theories that once lurked at the fringes of popular culture have now shifted to the very heart of a new kind of politics, driven by media platforms that thrive on clickbait and a political class eager to stir up dissent.
'In The Coming Storm: A Journey into the Heart of the Conspiracy Machine', Orwell Prize-nominated journalist Gabriel Gatehouse explores this perilous turning point in modern democracy. Joining him in discussion is Marianna Spring, the BBC's first disinformation specialist and author of 'Conspiracyland: Trolls, True Believers and the New Information War'.
They will be talking to Leor Zmigrod, a prize-winning scientist and pioneer in the field of 'political neuroscience' whose latest book 'The Ideological Brain' reveals the science behind polarised thinking.
