About
Welcome to Preston Manor, an Edwardian estate that brings history to life. Once home to Charles and Ellen Stanford, this grand house exudes glamour, opulence, and intrigue. Step back to 1912, the year of the Titanic disaster, and experience a day in the lives of the Stanfords and their loyal staff.
With roots dating back to the Domesday Book of 1086, Preston Manor was transformed in 1905 by architect Charles Stanley Peach. Its blend of history, grandeur, and elegance offers a glimpse into the world of the Edwardian elite.
Explore the "below stairs" world of hard-working servants, from the butler to the scullery maid. Discover the inner workings of the manor, from the bustling kitchen to the servants' hall, where long hours were spent maintaining the estate's high standards.
Every corner of Preston Manor tells a unique story. Whether you're intrigued by the supernatural in the Cleves Room or captivated by the Stanfords' tales, this is your chance to step into history.
Don’t miss the Manor Tearoom by Café Rust, located in one of Ellen Stanford’s favourite rooms and under the watchful eye of her 124 ‘Dogs of Fo’ collection.
