The Basketmakers is an award-winning traditional British pub in central Brighton. A cosy retreat in the heart of the bustling North Laine district, we are proud to pair a fantastic menu of British fare with an excellent range of draught ales, beers, wines & spirits to whet your whistle.
With friendly staff and an instantly recognisable vibe, the Basketmakers has become a much beloved Brighton institution over the past few decades. Instantly recognisable thanks to the unique, vintage décor and homely atmosphere, it’s a real gem of a classic Brighton pub.
At The Basketmakers we champion locally sourced seafood. Head Chef Robin carefully selects fresh seafood daily, from the local fleets that leave the Brighton coastline. Then transforms them into dishes you see on our menu and specials blackboard. The main menu features many British pub classics alongside the seafood option whilst also catering for vegetarians and vegans.
