Brighton is famous for being a city by the sea and while the beachfront is a destination in its own right, we recommend taking some time to get familar with some of the other areas of the city - why not book a break and explore the 'city villages'?
From the twisting alleyways of The Lanes to the vibrant, colourful hub of the North Laine each area of the city has its own distinctive character and this is reflected in the vareity of shops, restaurants, bars & cafés. To the east you'll find super-chill Kemptown and Brighton Marina, which is so much more than just a place to park your boat!
West of the city centre is Hove, home to majestic crescents with buttercream-coloured buildings that dazzle when the sky is blue. In Hove you'll find Portland Road, also know as Portlandia, a perfect retreat for a quiet cup of coffee and a gooey slice of cake or to pick up some bodycare and homeware essentials.
In addition to the 'city villages' Brighton is also an ideal base for exploring the wider area of Sussex.
