We have a cauldron-full of events coming up in October featuring sheep, bears, witches, wizards and whoopie pies!

Shaun by the Sea
We are delighted to be a part of the Wild in Art Shuan by the Sea trail in support of the wonderful Martlets. There are over 120 individually designed sculptures displayed around the city's streets, parks and other public areas and you have until 5 November to visit as many as you can. Arrive by train and you will be greeted by our sheep 'A Round Brighton' which has been designed by the marvellously talentened Sam Bailey.
Brighton Early Music Festival
The second-largest early music festival in the UK, well known for its lively and inspired programming often exploring connections with different art forms and using performance formats and spaces that challenge preconceptions of early music.
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt – Wakehurst
Wiggle into your wellies and head off on a family adventure of sensory discovery this October half term as Michael Rosen’s much-loved tale is brought to life at Wakehurst. Journey through ‘swishy-swashy’ grass, ‘splash splosh’ and ‘squelch squerch’ your way through the woodlands of Wakehurst on an expedition in search of a big bear.
Academy of Witches & Wizards – Borde Hill Garden
Budding witches and wizards, aged 3 to 8 years old, are invited to explore the Garden and take on the fun challenges in their very own Spell Book. Let’s work together to restore Sapphire’s magical powers, just in time for the Borde Hill Crystal Ball extravaganza!
Halloween Trail - One Garden
Calling all young witches, werewolves, ghosts and vampires. Come dressed up to explore One Garden on their spooktacular Halloween Trail this October half-term. Search the garden for scary scenes and creepy clues and take part in Halloween themed crafts.
Halloween Shriek Week – Drusillas
Looking for some of the best Halloween events in Sussex for kids? Shriek Week at Drusillas Park is the perfect place to take the kids for a family-friendly, fun-filled, and spooky Halloween week! Drusilla’s always conjures up oodles of eerie excitement and seasonal surprises to keep your little horrors half term happy!
Halloween Kids Bake Off: Monster Whoopie Pies - The Community Kitchen
Kids can free their creative demons and go wild creating scary but sweet monster whoopie pies. Ideal for budding young bakers aged 7-13, this special Halloween baking class will take them step by step to bake soft cookie-sponge shells and pipe the cream cheese filling for these delicious US favourites.
Childrens Halloween Afternoon Tea Party - Queens Hotel Brighton
Join in on the spooky fun at Queens Hotel from1pm to 4pm on Friday 27th October in the Sandringham Suite. Halloween themed children’s afternoon tea menu, dancefloor, dress-up encouraged. £10 per child. Adults can have traditional afternoon tea for £20 per adult.
Children’s Halloween Wreath Workshop – Leonardslee Gardens
Get into the spooky spirit with this one-hour workshop in the Courtyard Café. Children will create their own Halloween wreath from a selection of papers, trims and of course, googly eyes ready to hang at home! For children ages 5+
Beav-Art Halloween – Fishing Quarter Gallery
Local Brighton Artist Beav-Art presents a Halloween exhibition at the Fishing Quarter Gallery on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October. Beav-Art experiments with complimentary bold and bright images, enfolding fragments of the modern world within vintage B-movies, mythology, folklore and sci-fi themes. The exhibition is FREE and runs from 10am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
Kidz With Attitude: Halloween Special – Komedia
Kidz with Attitude is back for a spo0o0oky Halloween special! The daytime club for kidz and guardians to break out their best moves and Halloween costumes on the dancefloor. Expect DJ’s, dance-offs, a fully stocked bar, vinyl giveaways, soft play and face painting. The whole family partying in a club together! What is not to love?
Spooky Plays at Theatre Royal Brighton
The historic theatre is getting into the spooky spirit with two fantastic ghostly plays - 2:22 A Ghost Story; the new stage phenomenon that has taken the West End by storm plus Catherine Tate and David Threlfall star in the world premiere of The Enfield Haunting.
Ascarium: Tricks & Treats
This Halloween SEA LIFE Brighton Aquarium turns Ascarium! Follow an immersive trail around the aquarium to help the witches and warlocks find their missing potion ingredients. Discover some of the spookiest creatures of the deep as you explore our underwater worlds!
Ghost Walk & Cellar Dining
The Old Ship Hotel is buzzing with history and stories to tell. Explore spooky trails behind the hotel to learn all about Brighton's spooky past, before dining in the hotel's historic Cellars, which also have plentiful stories to tell!

The Grand
Indulge a Halloween themed Afternoon Tea with special treats designed by The Grand's Head Chef, including mini toffee apples, spiced pumpkin and vanilla frosted cake, a marbled chocolate orange delice, and apple and ginger scones.
Halloween at Yellowave
Head down to Yellowave and find the pumpkins dotted around the venue. Answer the quiz question at each pumpkin and return your answers to reception to win your sweet treat surprise. Don't forget to say hello to Cam and Abby whilst you're there #BrightonFlock
