Stay
There’s nothing more exhilarating than packing a bag and exploring somewhere different, taking in new surroundings, feeling the thrill of knowing you’re about to discover new places and new experiences, while creating new memories! Even if you’ve been to Brighton before, this is a city that’s forever changing, evolving, and full of surprises.
With so much to see and do all year round, both in the city and into Sussex, Brighton makes a great place to stay and explore. There’s an incredible choice of accommodation to suit every type of trip – family-friendly, business, romantic, group or solo – and every type of budget.
If you’re looking for wow-factor accommodation that inspires you to whip your phone from your pocket and start snapping pictures, then Brighton has no shortage of super-stylish boutique hotels and B&Bs all offering something different, from individually-themed bedrooms to effortlessly cool cocktail bars, free-standing bathtubs with sea views to in-house spa facilities and relaxation treatments. You’ll find chichi gastro pubs with rooms above, plus hotels that are eco-friendly, veggie-friendly, pooch-friendly, child-friendly and disability-friendly. And in the city that hosts Pride, a warm and inclusive welcome is a given.
There are also plenty of self-catering options scattered throughout the city – from chic and stylish seafront apartments to cosy mews cottages, from light and airy Regency townhouses to places with roof terraces or hot tubs. If you’re looking for budget accommodation, then you’ll be spoilt for choice with independent guest houses, super-cool seaside B&Bs and big brand hotels to pick from.
What’s more, Brighton couldn’t be easier to get around by foot, bicycle or public transport. Most of Brighton’s hotels are on or within a short walk of the seafront. The seafront itself is a 10-minute straight-line walk from Brighton train station, or there’s a taxi rank behind the station. From Brighton station, you can take the train to Hove (5 minutes), Lewes (17 minutes), or Glynde (20 minutes) to catch an opera. You can also take a bus from the centre of town direct to Exceat (one hour), where you’ll find the visitor centre for the spectacular Seven Sisters Country Park.
