About
Yellowave Beach Sports provides Brighton & Hove with its very own sandy beach. The venue offers 6 beach volleyball courts all available to hire by the hour. There’s also a lovely light and airy cafe and outside deck, a free sandy play area for tots and the gorgeous Clubhouse room which hosts a variety of classes and is also available to hire for meetings and parties.
Yellowave is a great place to come and try your hand at beach volleyball. The staff are super friendly and the weekly classes that run on the weekends are great fun. There’s also after school sessions for kids and regular local and national tournaments to either take part in or sit and watch with a cold beer in hand.
The cafe serves simple healthy food – sarnies, salads, stews, home-made soups, organic coffee, smoothies and of course ice cream. Bottled local beers, cider and wine can all be enjoyed whilst kicking back on the south west facing deck. There’s a kids’ menu including faves such as pesto or cheesy pasta, mini sarnies, scrambled egg or beans on toast.
The Pizza Oven is fired up year round from approx. 5-8pm weekdays and 12-6pm summer weekends or 12-4pm winter weekends.

The Yellowave Juniors' Club has lots of fun skills and drills to help build confidence at playing beach volleyball. Players will learn all the basic moves of volleyball as well as develop their core strength, speed and agility on court. It runs every Thursday from 3rd May – 4th October (4:15pm - 5:00pm). The Yellowave Kids club is all about having fun on the sand and learning the basics of the game. As well as beach volleyball there are lots of tag races, challenges to develop hand – eye coordination and catching skills. It runs every Tuesday from 1st May - 2nd October (4:15pm - 5:00pm).
