Our aim is to provide people a range of enjoyable, educational and fun outdoor experiences in the Sussex countryside. We strive to develop people’s understanding of and appreciation for our local environment through providing activities and events that bring people close to the varied landscapes of Sussex in different ways.

We work in partnership with like minded local organisations and a range of wonderfully talented, enthusiastic and professional individuals, to deliver amazing outdoor experiences.

We have over the years developed a range of popular events and programs;

Elderflower Fields Festival is an award winning weekend family festival with a focus on providing a range of different outdoor activities for children and their families – a wild weekend adventure, which also includes great live music, theatre performances, a woodland spa, local food and drink and much more …

Into The Trees is a two day outdoor event, with optional camping, taking participants on a journey through the wonderful woodlands of Ashdown Forest, taking part in a range of different woodland related activities.

Schools Without Walls is our all year around school program offering kids the opportunity to spend more time outdoors during school hours and residential stays with the YHA.

Spithurst Hub is a modern co-working space and business centre, built by So Sussex in partnership with a local landowner. This is now the base for the So Sussex team and a range of other small local business and freelancers. There is also a meeting room and scope for organising events which includes outdoor team building activities run by the So Sussex team.
